Lonely Mountain Therapy

Guiding Journeys with Courage, Curiosity, and Compassion through the Realms of Neurodivergence, Mental Health, and Trauma

Embark on Your Journey

Through the challenges of your life, guided by your wise mind. Gain the tools and support you need to navigate obstacles and reach your most meaningful destinations. Envision a life of growth and resilience. Discover your path, set strong boundaries, and bring your goals into focus with our guidance.

We are here for people who have been told they are “too much” or “not enough,” have felt misunderstood, or have struggled to find a welcoming space for their neurodivergent minds and creative spirits. Maybe you are a gamer, a dreamer, or a thinker who wants to harness your unique interests such as role playing, expressive arts, or philosophical exploration to foster real growth and healing.

We believe therapy is most transformative when it is grounded in our clients’ real passions, values, and daily struggles. Whether you are seeking to overcome anxiety, build better executive functioning skills, or heal from trauma, we tailor our approach to who you are now and who you hope to become. By blending evidence based practices like DBT and existential therapy with creative modalities such as therapeutic role playing and expressive arts, we help bridge the gap between what weighs you down and the life you envision.

We are also now offering the Safe and Sound Protocol, an evidence based listening therapy that uses specially filtered music to promote nervous system regulation, encourage resilience, and enhance social engagement.

About Lonely Mountain Therapy

About Lonely Mountain Therapy

At Lonely Mountain Therapy, we are dedicated to fostering connection, building strength, and guiding self-discovery one step at a time.

Led by Eric Hulsing, LPC, ADHD-CCSP, our approach combines Philosophy and art with evidence-based practices. We use among others, Expressive Arts Therapy, DBT, and Therapeutic Role-Playing.

Our name is inspired by the stories we find in books, the emotions we connect with in music, the not-so-lonely mountain of Horsetooth Mountain in Fort Collins, and playful spirits like our four-legged friend Finn, who has mastered the art of playing blanket monster.

We provide a safe and welcoming space to help you navigate mental health challenges, substance use, and neurodivergence.
